Page thirty one! Only about a hundred and seventy more to go, then we'll have something close to a finished first book. I haven't been able to finish any more pages since I started EMS training, and it's starting to wear on me a little. I never did well in school aside from reading comprehension and creative writing, so this science-y medical stuff I've been doing lately really takes me back to my university days. Very stressful. I'm making it work though. I'll probably end up having to read my entire textbook from cover to cover three times just to pass the registry test, but that's not to say it's impossible.

As for the actual book, we're starting to dip into some world-building (just a little bit, I didn't want to bog down the flow of the story.) The Kingdom of Wormwood and its history is somewhat important to the larger plot though, at least regarding certain characters and their backgrounds. This is further developed later, the idea being to sprinkle in the exposition here and there rather than one huge info-dump.

Anyway, that's it for this week. Just the page this time, no concept art or anything that I feel ready to share just yet. As for what's next on the agenda though, I'd like to further organize the creature index somehow. I've got big plans for that, like I want it to function as a full encyclopedia for all the different species of animals, bugs, and even plants that litter the world of Dungeons and Disasters. It's potentially something I would want to sell as a standalone pocket-book, to give you an idea of how long it would be. As for right now though, it's just something on the site that I'll be periodically updating as the story progresses.
