Ah, man. This first week has been a little rough, ladies and fellas. EMT school is a lot more challenging than Fire I/II was, mentally I mean. It's akin to learning a new language with all the medical prefixes and suffixes that you need to know just to communicate in the workplace. However, I'm not sure how much of it is just mumbo-jumbo you have to know for the test and how much is actually used day to day. (I'm trying to learn it well regardless, given the nature and stakes of the job.) I was iffy before but I can now tell you with 100% certainty that there's gonna be a break in the page releases within the next month or two. There's just not any realistic way for me to continue work on this project until I've passed the registry test and actually start my regular rotations on an engine company. Which sucks, but I've gotta support myself while I work on this. It's just the nature of the beast. As I've said before, these books are gonna get written even if it takes me the rest of my life, and even if I never make a penny in profits from their publications. I've just gotta get into a comfortable groove with my new schedule.

Enough about all that though. (I tend to ramble in these page-blogs because I like you guys to be informed but I also hate using Twitter or Instagram any more than once a week.) I'll continue to post the rest of what's already finished, naturally, so y'know don't get all bummed out. You'll still get to see the beginning of Connor's first real scuffle with a big-bad, and I'm still working quietly in the background on things to come. As always, thanks for reading and keeping up with the story.
