I do a lot of lore-writing in the background these days, and one of my google docs is now strictly dedicated to in-universe swears and slurs. Part of me just wanted him to actually swear because doing this feels kinda hacky, since so many others have already done the 'made-up swears' gag in other children's media. After some thought, having Connor actually say "retarded" or "homo" or etc. would certainly be more in-character for him; It's just that it could needlessly complicate the publishing process or land me with a higher age rating than the story really needs. So, replacement swears seemed like the best option. That way, Connor gets to talk and think like myself and millions of other twelve-year olds did (and do), but we won't have any angry moms publicly calling for my execution. Hopefully.
Anyways, that's about it for today. I've started work on a little promotional piece that'll involve some *animating.* I am very new to animating, but the project itself is just a few seconds of animation that'll loop with music, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. I'll update with progress on that next time (or lack thereof.) Thanks for reading.
