Another week, another page. Today I finished recruit school, and this upcoming week I start EMT school, fun stuff. I'll be doing ride outs at an actual fire station every couple days as well, so I'll actually start to get some real experience along with the studying I'll be doing. This does mean things are gonna slow down, so, again, just be ready for that. I've just finished page 36 yesterday, so we've still got a handful of weeks before we need to think about another hiatus.
Chapter two is still nearing its end, not much more I can say there that hasn't already been said. (At least not without spoiling what's to come.) The first 3-4 chapters focus largely on Connor, the idea there being that I want to give the reader an idea of how Connor is used to functioning on his own. From what we've seen, he's pretty comfortable on his own, and this is reinforced towards the end of chapter three. Meeting the other characters (especially Eliza) turns his world upside down, and makes for a lot of great character interaction and development that I'm itching to get into.
It's kinda funny, all this time I was itching to draw the action scenes, and now that I'm there I'm itching to get back to the character stuff and the funny bits. It's always something. That's all I've got for this week though, I'm gonna try to find a couple things from my notebook that I can post in the "Artsy Stuff" page as well.
